Remember that your puppy WILL NOT be fully pad trained or potty trained when you bring them home. We do get a great start on pad training here but your puppy will need time to adjust to a new house. Retired Adults
Do we place retired adults? Yes we do.

If you are looking for a companion that is past the potty training, or maybe you just prefer a calmer older dog? Most of our retirees you will see have grown up here in our home and around our family. Our retired ladies and males come spayed/neutered and up to date on vet visits/exams and dental work (if needed.) Our Retiree's and Young Adults are only available to full-time residents of Michigan. This ensures that should something not work out we are able to bring them back home. Now you may ask yourself why do we re-home some pets? Sometimes complications arise during pregnancy or whelping that require a dog to be spayed. Or other times even with all of the proper heath testing, some dogs just do not work out. We work hard to make sure that retirees get into the best home possible to match their personalities and drive. Not everyone is going to agree with our methods, that's ok, We firmly believe in what we are doing and stand behind our lines here at Steadfast. We are a small hobby breeder and will remain that way and re-homing some of our dogs is required for us to have the proper time and attention for our puppies. Here is a great source from the AKC on how to prepare for success on helping your companion transition into their new home. Click Here. If you are interested in bringing home one of our retired adults, please understand they are going to take time to adjust to a new home. Some dogs take longer then others, we are only looking for homes that are going to understand this and stay in contact with us during this transition. Please do not consider a retired adult unless you are ready to help them adjust, We cannot stress this enough.
